Women Knocking on Doors in the Wee Hours to Talk Religion Raises Suspicion

Suspicious Incident

A resident of the 1100 block of Bette Lane reported three women went door to door and asked to speak to the residents about religious preferences and attending a new temple on March 15 at 12:30 a.m. The three left in a silver sport utility vehicle.

A Glenview resident reported someone stole items from a vehicle parked near the downtown train station March 16 around noon. The reported loss is $400.

The manager of a business in the 2200 block of Waukegan reported a burglary during the overnight hours March 17. The reported loss is $350.

Residential Burglary

A resident of the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported an unknown subject broke into the house while the resident was home March 17 at 9 p.m. Nothing appeared missing.

Harassment by Telephone

A resident reported a man made several calls to the residence stating the caller was from the IRS and he was collecting money owed to the government. A follow up investigation revealed this was not true. No personal information was exchanged and there is no loss.

Unwanted Subject

An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported an unwanted male in the business March 14 at 11:30 p.m. He left the business after receiving a trespass warning.
