Residents Want Their Say on New Development Near the Glen

Is the proposed development of a church and homes near the Glen Town Center a bad idea? Share your thoughts in the comments.

A public hearing to discuss construction of a church and 171 housing units near the Glen Town Center has been scheduled for the Sept. 10 Glenview Plan Commission meeting, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Residents have already been voicing concerns for increased traffic and safety related to the proposed development, to be located on 41 acres at northwest corner of West Lake Avenue and Shermer Road once used by the Glenview Naval Air Station, reported the Tribune.

There is even a petition at Change.org signed by 885 residents as of Aug. 6, urging the village to stop the sale of the land.
